Finley always had an affinity for tennis balls, and they noticed when he was about two years old that he would try to fit as many into his mouth as he could. Diary 1/17/20 So I have this cat that I hate. So okay, maybe I don't hate him. First, one day I had a cat visit me on my front porch.  I did the stupid and started giving her food.  Soon she accepted my invite into my home. She had been feral but adjusted fairly well to life with me and dog.  Except one day her "husband" came to visit and I had screens up on my window.  A window screen is simple for a cat to tear apart.  I had other cats but they never bothered screens.  They were indoor cats and had no inclination to go outside.  But Shadow had been an outside cat, she went into heat before I could have her spayed. She gave birth to three kittens. One was, and is, Sheldon, her son. Sheldon was born in this house and had never been outside.  He owns this house.  He owns me.  He owns the dog.  He owns, and mistreats, his own mother. Diary 1/9/20 I have never, in my entire life, lived without a pet.  Most times I had several pets and almost always both a couple of cats and a dog. Below is the story of the poor dogs forced to live with those awful Muslims and how they suffer. I do like cats but they are independent critters.  Dogs love unconditionally. I do have one stance I take always with all my pets. I AM THE BOSS! Indeed you give up something when your shelter, food and care is given to another being.  I make sure my pets always have water, food they like.  I buy them toys and I spend time with them. A Day at the SPCA Granddaughter and I will visit the SPCA when she comes to visit me.  We both like the puppies, the kittens.  It's great fun.  Usually we combine a stop with other plans that have us out and about. We took some pictures ....enjoy. Below is a pic of granddaughter with a dog that was being taken home by a foster family.  God bless foster families.  They take dogs into their own homes and let them live with their families and pets.  The dog below was quite happy to get going somewhere besides the stall in the pound.
