TV Bachelor, Worst Cooks and America's Got Talent the Champions

The Bachelor....Emotions and Anger

I have always maintained that these reality shows are scripted.  The producers, I assert, dream up spats and emotion-riddled reunions to keep the show interesting.

In this year's Bachelor we've had fights over champagne and certain individuals that nobody likes.

"The Bachelor" recorded 1/20/20, 1/28/20 featured both Victorias and a group spat with the infamous Alayah.

On the episode aired 1/20/20, Peter chose Victoria P., picture left,  a nurse who lives in Louisiana for the solitary date.  She told a very sad childhood story (they all have very sad childhood stories).  She got the date rose.

As these things go, there was a group date that featured Kiarra, Sarah, tammy, Kelly, Shiann, Savannah, Sydney and Alayah.  The activity was some kind of pillow fight that looked really dumb to me.

The pillow fight championship round featured Alayah, Sydney.  Alayah was pronounced the pillow fight champ.

Alayah is an orthodontist assistant....from Texas

The group date rose given to Sydney.

Then there was the famous confrontation with Alayah.  Other contenders alleged that Alayah asked other contenders to lie to the producers that she and Victoria did not know each other although they did.

Alaya sent home, lots of emotion by Peter.

Now nobody ever lies and one should be spanked and sent home for such a thing, as I pull my tongue out of my cheek.

On the episode aired 1/28/20 the single date card was given to another Victoria, this time Victoria F.

Peter and Victoria F. went up in an airplane (Peter is, after all, an airline pilot), attended a concert and then emotions arose.  For it would turn out that Victoria F. once dated the lead singer in the band that sang for the couple.

Victoria F. did a lot of crying and teeth-gnashing on whether to tell Peter about this prior relationship.  I mean, WHAT ARE THE ODDS?

After some tears for us in the audience, Peter gave Victoria F. a date rose.

Then the group date came up, to include Victoria P., Kiera, Kelly, Deandra, Madison, Lexi, Shiann, Tammy, Sydney, Hannah Ann, Savannah, Linda.

Alayah showed up at the group date after party.  At which point Peter told Alayah, who had been sent home the prior week bear in mind, that he was sorry he sent her home and she should have gotten this rose last week.

Which didn't make the rest of the gang happy as they all disliked Alayah.

Then there was arranged a single date with Chelsea.  They did polka in public square, raced in race cars in the street, has  romantic evening on ship with dinner.

Chelsea too had a tragic childhood in that her parents got a divorce, man that's tough as hell.  Chelsea got the date rose.

The fourth rose ceremony was about to begin in Cleveland.

The infamous Alayah

Bachelor Contestants Season 24

The women complain about Peter giving date rose to Alayah, that he felt he should have given to her last rose ceremony but he sent her home.

No rose ceremony after all females complain about Alayah.  Lots of bitching and tears.

Worst Cooks in America recorded 1/19/20 and 1/26/20

worst cooks in america

I have been carefully following Food Network's "Worst Cooks in America" as I plan to be a contender on that show soon.

On the episode aired 1/19/20, since it was close to the Chinese New Year, the recruits were charged with making fried rice with tofu on Alton's team and fried rise with chicken and vegies on Ann's team.

This is one perfect reason why I need to be a contender for this show.  I would love to learn how to make fried rice as good as the local Chinese restaurant.

For the main meal, the contenders had to clean shrimp, prepare potstickers and/or dumplings and dipping sauce.

Alton saw too many hands on raw pork, no cleanliness, would not taste any of the food.

Ann's team best Bridgette.  Alton's Mike winner.

Kelly. and Joe lynn at bottom of Alton.

Ann's two bottom Curtis and Lulu.

Nobody sent home this week.

---------------------------------------------------
The episode aired 1/26/20 was titled :

Simple Yet Sophisticated

The recruits enter the world of culinary sophistication, starting with a game where they have to taste and identify different crepe fillings. Then Anne Burrell and Alton Brown show them how to make their own crepes. For the main dish challenge, the recruits create a duck dish, and the recruits who "quack" under the pressure will be going home.
The recruits had to prepare crepe fillings and my eyes glazed over.  I never eat a crepe, whatever that is, much less a crepe with filling.  One team's filling included mushrooms which I do love.  But the mushroom crepes looked awful.

I also have never cooked a duck nor will I ever either prepare or eat a duck.  Duck is not my choice of protein....ever.

Alton says he can appoint no winners they were so bad.  Ann says the same.
Monica and Jillian in bottom. Jillian sent home.

Ann,- Curtis and Leslie in bottom
Curtis sent home

Recorded 1/20/20

I am greatly enjoying this series and the contenders do not lecture us on politics.  THEY ENTERTAIN!!!

The two acts to be sent on were: Duo Destiny and Tyler Butler-Figueroa!  Tyler is a young violinist

The winners of “Poland’s Got Talent” Duo Destiny knew that coming to “The Champions” would pit them against the best of the best in the world, presenting them with a bigger challenge than their original season. Tonight was their first performance in America and so it came it a ton of nerves. In their dance routine they incorporate balancing, flexibility, trapeze and death drops that make them seem like one of the most daring acts to perform.
Speaking of nerve-wracking experiences, the first act of the night

Alexa Lauenberger and her eight dogs a-leaping — had to wait until the episode’s final moment to learn that she was going through to the semifinals.

In the show aired 1/27/20, the three finalists included an acrobat group, a guy from Africa with amazing double joints, and JJ, a little boy comedian voted on by the judges.
