"Top Dog" new show for dog lovers

It comes on A&E Weds. at 9pm.  I saw an advertisement and signed up the DVR.

How it works, the dogs all compete though the same challenging course.  The course consists of cars to get in and get out of, sniffing up drugs, going over rope bridges, pulling down the stairs then climbing up.

All of the dogs but one are professional dogs trained for just these activities.  Most of these dogs are Belgian Malinois or German Shepherd police dogs.

I once had a Belgian Malinois.  These dogs are not for the meek.  But they are smart, alert and love working with their human partner.

Another dog, not a professionally trained dog except by their owner, also enters and competes against the expert dogs.  The first time I watched it was a mongrel, half collie, half sheep dog.

It's an interesting series.

If you love dogs, check it out.

Worst cooks in America Season 17

I think I should enter this competition.

No, I don't consider myself one of the worst cooks in America.  I do consider myself exactly the sort of competitor hosts Ann Burrell and Alton Brown seek.

The competitors on this show do not cook all that well but they are hardly the worst cooks in America.  All they need is a little guidance from the Food Network experts....Ann and Alton.

The show comes on Food Network, Sundays, 9pm eastern.

On the first show, 1/6/20,  The recruits had to make chicken soup.  Ann put cinnamon in her chicken soup?

I can't imagine such a thing.

Contender Dakota was sent home by red team while Joe was sent home by Alton's blue team

On the episode aired on 1/13/20 the recruits, as they are called, had to make some kind of pseudo-lasagna type thing, including a salad with mozzarella and a main dish consisting of meatballs , ricotta cheese and pancetta.

See?  This is why I need to go on this show.  I have no idea what that "salad" was involving mozzarella dropped to form mounds, much less a dish of meatballs with ricotta and pancetta.  I don't even know what pancetta is.

On this show, Kelly was the winner on Alton's teach with Kevin sent home.

On Ann's red team, Shannon was the winner with Alex sent home.
