Politics Lots of Laughs and a summary of the Republican defense in the Senate
The Defense Makes Its Case

Finally the impeachment defense gets a turn
Why yes I have watched the defense of the president, now being illegally impeached by the Democrats. Lies, people, .....the Dems told lies, lies and more lies.
The very best belongs to Pam Bondi. Bondi spent plenty of time describing Burisma, the Ukraine and the money Hunter Biden got paid as he bedded his stripper girlfriend and impregnated while dosing on cocaine. Yeah some of the prior might be my lie but if the Dems can lie so can I.
BONDI EVEN HAD BANK RECORDS!!!
She showed us deposits made to the Hunter Biden account in the amount of $83,000 for over 17 months! This for a guy who knew nothing about natural gas or even doing a full day's work.
I was shouting with joy as finally a Republican stood up and defended the president.
The president's defense team was terrific, including the aforementioned Pam Bondi, to also include Purpura, Sekulow, Philbin. They even showed a video of Nancy Pelosi divvying out those silly impeachment pens. Bondi showed a video of the infamous exchange with Joe Biden demanding that Ukraine call off its prosecutors or lose their aid money.
To add to all this drama, the silly John Bolton, a former consultant for Fox News and a guy I used to like, is working on a book and it got leaked that in the book Bolton says Trump told him that he would stop Ukrainian aid if they don't drop their investigation into the company then employing the very smart, handsome and law-abiding Hunter Biden.
The Dems, including the horrible Republican Mitt Romney, immediately began to jump and scram like monkeys that this means we must call witnesses, especially John Bolton.
John Bolton proved that money means more to him than any sort of moral principals. He's lost any respect I ever had for him.
As of this writing it looks like, if the Democrats were truly listening, Trump will be exonerated.
Meanwhile, Trump appears to have negotiated some kind of peace between Palestine and Israel.
Another story for another day.

The New York Times endorses both Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren for president

The New York Times endorsed not one, but two candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination on Sunday. The paper’s editorial board gave their blessings to progressive candidate Elizabeth Warren and centrist Amy Klobuchar in a surprise endorsement that split from tradition. The editorial board announced their endorsements toward the end of an episode of “The Weekly,” the Times’ television show that airs on Hulu. In an article posted to the Times’ website soon after the episode aired, the board noted their two endorsements were a “break with convention.” In endorsing Warren, the board wrote her campaign writes seriously about policy, while also making a point to highlight proposed anti-corruption legislation and speaking clearly about foreign policy. “Her campaign’s plans, in general, demonstrate a serious approach to policymaking that some of the other candidates lack,” they wrote in the endorsement. “Ms. Warren accurately describes a lack of housing construction as the primary driver of the nation’s housing crisis, and she has proposed both increases in government funding for housing construction, and changes in regulatory policy to encourage local governments to allow more construction,” they added. In their endorsement for Klobuchar, the editorial board called her the “standard-bearer” for the Democratic center.
